Unfortunately hair loss is the same in both over or under also if she is taking medicine like synthroid to control it, it also can cause hair loss as well. I haven’t heard of anything other then Rogaine but maybe there is something better there is this one stuff I seen but dont know whether it really works or not. Its called scalpmed tell your mom I feel her pain thyroid disorder is not only annoying but also can be depressing at times. Good luck with finding something though.
