The general doctor I saw a while back said it was no big deal. I can pick up all my hair into a ponytail with a tiny little clip and I’m 25. That’s a big deal! Even my hairstyling said my line is thinning too much.
It falls in clumps especially after showering and during the day i shed everywhere. I already use nutri-ox and have upped my calcium intake. What the heck should i do???

Go see a dermatologist, that’s what i did when my hair was falling out. I found out it was a side effect from a medication i was taking. They will be able to help you :-)

I am just 14 years old and i can’t stop my hair fall. somebody help please!

Do you have split ends? Because hair that is split at the end is weaker and tends to break off more easily, say, when you’re brushing it. To check, examine the tips of your hair and if it’s split into two, there you have your answer. The only way to cure split ends is to cut hair above the level of the split.
Keep in mind that hair dryers, straighteners etc can make your hair more prone to breakage and dryness. Use a good shampoo and conditioner. And towel-dry your hair after washing it – never comb too aggressively or it will all fall out.
If the problem gets too serious, see a doctor.

My mum has got over active thyroid, and one of the effects of this, is hair loss. She’s not too happy about this, and can do with whatever help and advice she can get. Are there any home remedies/medicines/cures to stop hair loss. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Tell your mother to go see her GP and ask to be referred to a Tricoligist (hair loss specialist). This happened to me years ago, after the birth of my second child.

Even if hair loss is hereditary, aside from all the snake oil online, is there a way to stop the hair loss? I am devastated going in public and embarrassed to go for a hair trim, especially when they wet my hair and I look so horrible. Has anyone tried anything that actually does help?

I don’t know about "snake oil". but I do know that essential oils are very effective for stimulating new hair growth and keeping hair healthy. Essential oil scalp massage can help all types of female hair loss, as long as the follicle is still alive and undamaged, With hereditary hair loss, the follicle begins to shrink slowly and gradually. It takes many years for the follicle to stop producing hair. Essential oils help keep the follicle alive and energized, supplying nourishment through increased local blood circulation. They have a vasodilating effect that helps keep the follicle from shrinking. They also have the ability to dissolve excess sebum and cleanse the scalp of any pollutants. This cleansing action helps minimize the effects of dht. A healthy anti-inflammatory diet, nutritional supplementation and regular exercise can also help inhibit hereditary hair loss in those who are predisposed. See source below for more information.

I am only in my twenties, but I am beginning to lose my hair due to coloring, straightening, and stress. What is the best shampoo/conditioning system to use? I’ve heard Nioxin works well. Are there any other options?

I would recomend Nioxin. It’s carried by salons and has all sorts of styling aids as well. This product is not a drug so hair folicles that have already died will not grow back but it will help keep the hair you have. This products helps to create the best possible enviornment for hair go grow by increasing the blood flow to the scalp and keeping the scalp and hair clean and healthy. Look it up, great product

I’m 63 female with some hair loss especially in front…Is there any real good answers.

There are several resons for this. First of all through normal aging,
the number of follicles capable of producing hair slowly
declines. The follicles start to produce fine, short, non-pigmented hair. The length of time the hair spends in the growing phase also decreases. The other reason is due to the decline in estrogen experienced in menopuase.

The best thing to do is to keep the follicles nourished and energized so they keep producing hair. Essential oil sclap formulas are very effective for this purpose.

My aunt is in her 70s and she is worried about hair loss. What is a good remedy for that?

Female Hair Loss Treatment:Each hair grows for a period of 2-6 years, goes through a short dormant period and then falls out as the follicle pushes through a new hair. When new hairs do not replace the old or when hair is coming out in clumps or sections, there is definite cause for concern.Female hair loss comes from a variety of causes – some temporary, some permanent. Fortunately, regrowth occurs naturally when as these causes dissipate. Permanent hair loss occurs as a result of heredity and hormonal changes and unfortunately is not reversed naturally. Women usually see hair loss begin at areas of parts, where parts become wider. Female pattern baldness occurs primarily in the frontal areas; then, there is general overall hair loss, resulting in a continual thinning of the entire head with the scalp becoming more and more visible.Treatments for female hair loss include a number of things:1.Diet plays some role in hair loss, so it is important to commit to a healthy well-balanced diet at all times.2.Exercise increases blood circulation to all areas of the body, the scalp included. Some studies have shown that increased blood circulation to the scalp can assist in the stimulation of follicles to begin to produce hair again. 3.There are a number of natural herbal and oil remedies, most of which are topical, that is, they involve applying solutions directly onto the scalp with the effect of opening up closed follicles and enhancing the chance of hair production. These have varying degrees of success, dependent upon the individual.4.Wigs and hair extensions can provide non-permanent relief for sufferers and, fortunately, these are considered acceptable fashion accessories today.5.A number of medical products have also been developed specifically for females. It is important to state here that women must be certain that products they use are specifically designed for them. Male hair products often have ingredients which can be harmful to women, particularly those of child-bearing age. Medical products are available through prescription and over-the-counter. It would be wise to consult with a physician first, before using any of these, to be certain that they are not contra-indicated with any other medication currently being used and to be certain that the hair loss is not the result of some other medical condition.

This is for my English paper, in which I am comparing old and modern techniques people used to treat cosmetic issues.

I heard women back then (like in the 1970s) used wigs and color hair spray to conceal bald spots, but I NEED AN ONLINE SOURCE to cite.

Thanks in advance!

Hey hiee…….In Earlier days as well as now many people use coconut hair oil to get rid of hair loss problems.Coconut oil has many benefits and so they are also used along with home remedies as follows:
Boiling a few hibiscus flowers in coconut based oil, Filtering it and using it regularly can help control hair loss and thinning …
A mixture of coconut oil, garlic and pepper is very effective in stimulating the growth of new hair.
While bathing, it is better to massage scalp for 10 to 15 minutes. Massage stimulates the blood circulation in the scalp. Do it everyday, which will lessen hairloss.
Basically all home made remedies were used during that time.

I’ve heard some hair loss in women can be expected with age but are there any natural nutrients that can be used to help or aid in controlling the problem? Its kinda sad to see ones tresses go down the drain after shampooing.

Biotin lots of biotin(found in the vitamin section). You’ll notice results within 1 month even. Take it faithfully though. My hair is starting to fill in again. Try pre natal vitamins too. Stay away from the cheap shampoos that lather a lot, they will strip and weaken your hair.

Biotin is famous for making hair stronger again. It really will help you. Be patient and you will see.
