My hair in the front is starting to thin like crazy and I have noticed that some men will grow their hair longer to keep the bald area covered up. Others will shave it off or cut it really short in a buzz cut to make it less noticeable.

Men with thinning hair in the front. What have you done:

Combed it straight forward to hide the bald area

Grew it longer to hide the bald area

Buzzed it off?

my hair is thinning right above my forehead in the middle. It is also thinning on the right side of my head in one little spot. I am in the process of growing it out in hopes it will conceal the thinning. It isnt noticable very much but whenever i put it to direct light or look in the mirror i can see it. My hairline is also receding. I am going to grow mine out. I think if you grow it out it will get overlapped with hair. I think the hair will disguise it for the most part if not fully. But if you do wind up having it cut short or whatever, keep in mind you are you regardless and not your hair, thats what i keep telling myself. Best bet is to turn the volume up on your personality and be cooler than everyone under every and any circumstance. Thats what im a do when the day comes. Whether its tomorrow or twenty years. Best luck to you.

One thing I’ve heard is that washing your hair in the shower is bad because the water pounds on your head.

i guess they meant the excessive washing

I read rumours that hair loss is a sideaffect of taking Creatine. Can anyone confirm or deny this please? Thanks in advance.

nope.. i would find that very very unlikely… do not see how it could do that…

and u cycle creatine on and off.. so once u hit 6 – 7 weeks u get off for a break… atleast1 month

one thing that can make u lose your hair is steroids…

I am only in my twenties, but I am beginning to lose my hair due to coloring, straightening, and stress. What is the best shampoo/conditioning system to use? I’ve heard Nioxin works well. Are there any other options?

I would recomend Nioxin. It’s carried by salons and has all sorts of styling aids as well. This product is not a drug so hair folicles that have already died will not grow back but it will help keep the hair you have. This products helps to create the best possible enviornment for hair go grow by increasing the blood flow to the scalp and keeping the scalp and hair clean and healthy. Look it up, great product

Started losing hair in the top when I was using the Mirena as birth control. Have had it removed for approximately 5 months. still having some loss, but appears to be less. Now taking hypertensive medications which also cause hair loss. Need help.

Hello Cherick314,

I have a girlfriend that uses this product: http://www.new-hair-growth-now.com

It seems to really work for her. After about a month I noticed the difference in her hair. It looked fuller and even looked shinier; go figure.

They say that Hereditary hair loss, or Alopecia, (the scientific name for Female Pattern Baldness), is said to account for 95% of female hair loss.
This can help women in preventing thinning hair due to FPB, and support the re-growth of your natural hair.

I think you can try it for free for the first 2 months.

Take care ;)

I have friend that has struggled with his thinning hair for many years. He has tried to many things to remedy his genetic problem.

But for the past few years he has sprayed on this black spray that gives the illusion of a fuller head of hair. This prevents him from many activities that he used to enjoy such as swimming and other water sports. His look also discourages him from going to public places quite often.

This so-called "spray on hair" does give an impressive illusion, but it’s not the same as having a nice full head of hair that every young man should enjoy.

What alternatives does he have other then slapping on a wig or costly hair plugs?

Tell him to just shave it all. Bald is cool and It is hip.. Just go with it and quit fighting it. Lot`s of women LIKE bald guys. And did you know that bald guys have more testosterone (male hormone) than guys with full heads of hair..

Just beam with confidence, walk up and smile really nicely.. Bald guys are cute as can be to many many women.. Get into it and dig it..

And PLEASE GUYS, DON`T DO THAT COMB OVER STUFF. IT LOOKS HORRIBLE AND YOU AREN`T FOOLING ANYONE

God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

My hair used to be super-thick, and in the last five years it has thinned out so badly it has me depressed! I am 46 years old, btw.

Hello
Have you watched your diet? Is your diet iron rich? Does it have good vitamins? If not then see to it that you eat fresh cooked food everyday. Less greasy, more healthy. Have lots of iron rich food and fruits.
Apply Dabur Vatika oil or Amla oil, which you will get in some Indian store easily. If you don’t get it use Almond oil or coconut oil.
After applying oil, give steam to your hair by wrapping hot towel on your head.
Wash your hair with some natural cleansing agents or herbal shampoo.
You may also apply eggs once in a week. Condition your hair with herbal conditioner like juice of half lime in lukewarm water.
Meditate everyday and calm your mind.
Exercise too.

How to reduce hair loss for men

anyway as we know – hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A – an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment – TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) – a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experience

I’m 63 female with some hair loss especially in front…Is there any real good answers.

There are several resons for this. First of all through normal aging,
the number of follicles capable of producing hair slowly
declines. The follicles start to produce fine,short, non-pigmented hair. The length of time the hair spends in the growing phase also decreases. The other reason is due to the decline in estrogen experienced in menopuase.

The best thing to do is to keep the follicles nourished and energized so they keep producing hair. Essential oil sclap formulas are very effective for this purpose.

I switched hair products two weeks ago and I have allergies so I guess my skin must be sensitive to it because my scalp dried out and then I got bad dandruff which is odd for me as it’s never been a problem before. Now my hair is falling out more than normal (a lot more). I read on several medical sites that severe dandruff can cause hair loss, but didn’t mention a treatment.
Will treating the dandruff with medicated shampoos solve the hair loss as well? I’ll be seeing my doctor in a few days but am interested in how to treat this from any one knowledgeable or has experience in this area.
Thanks!

Washing your hair with a good quality shampoo and conditioner choosing the mildest option is best I think. Don’t use baby shampoo. Surprisingly or not so surprisingly your diet can affect your scalp. Alkalising yourself and taking supplements is an option to consider. How’s your stress levels. My goodness hair loss sounds pretty drastic at any time dandruff or not. Have a massage. Take a float. Meditate or something. Good luck with the western quick fix or Chinese herbalist or whomever you see.
